The 2024 Holiday Contest: Razzies Edition (RESULTS)

Welcome to a new Wildcard Wednesday! This week, I’m revealing the answers and winners of this year’s Holiday contest, for which I asked you to guess my five LEAST FAVORITE sitcom seasons that aired between 2000-2001 and 2009-2010 of the 27 possible options covered here on Sitcom Tuesdays throughout 2024. Here are my answers:

  1. Two And A Half Men Season One
  2. Two And A Half Men Season Six
  3. Two And A Half Men Season Seven
  4. My Name Is Earl Season Three
  5. My Name Is Earl Season Four

As you can tell by these results, I think Curb Your Enthusiasm, Arrested Development, and The Office operate, fundamentally, at a much higher quality than Two And A Half Men and My Name Is Earl, so even their lesser seasons — such as Curb‘s first and The Office‘s first and sixth — are better than some of the others’ middling collections, namely Men‘s first and Earl‘s fourth. (That said, I considered all of the above listed and mentioned seasons, along with Men’s fifth.)

Congratulations to everyone who guessed at least one of these correct! I have sent a copy of the Table Draft script for The Office’s “The Dinner Party” to your email address. Also, a special congratulations to Nat, Elaine, and esoteric1234 — each of whom got all five correct and has been sent that script, along with a copy of the original broadcast version of “Koi Pond,” an audio of Melora Hardin as Roxie in Chicago, and every episode of a 1995 sitcom starring Valerie Harper that was also called The Office. Enjoy — and Happy Holidays to every participant!

Come back next week for another Wildcard! And stay tuned Tuesday for more of The Office!
