The 2024 Holiday Contest: Razzies Edition

Welcome to a new Wildcard Wednesday! This week, I’m sharing the rules of our now-annual holiday contest! For this year, I’m doing something I don’t think I’ve ever done before — instead of asking you to select my favorites, I’m asking you to select my least favorites. Specifically, I’m asking you to guess my FIVE LEAST FAVORITE sitcom seasons that I’ve officially covered in full on Sitcom Tuesdays in 2024. The one catch — to make things less obvious — is that I’m excluding anything that aired in the 2010s. That is, only collections that aired during or between the 2000-2001 and 2009-2010 TV seasons are eligible. There are, in total, 27 choices this year — from which you must pick five. They are…

All you have to do is pick what you think are my five LEAST favorite seasons — in no particular order (that is, they’re not ranked) — and leave your guesses in the comment section below before the competition closes on Monday, December 16 at 10pm EST. Remember, there could be multiple seasons per series or none at all. Use my commentary as your guide.

Now, as to the prizes…. if you get at least one correct, I’ll send a digital copy of the 2007 Pre-Strike Table Draft script for the classic Office episode “The Dinner Party.” If you get all five correct, I’ll send that script, along with an mp4 of the original broadcast cut of the same series’ “Koi Pond” (which has a cold open that hasn’t been seen in any showing since!), an audio of Melora Hardin (Jan) as Roxie in the current Broadway revival of Chicago, and every episode of another sitcom called The Office — a short-lived vehicle for Valerie Harper that aired briefly in 1995 (discussed here).
