The Kramden Collection

Welcome to a new Wildcard Wednesday! This week, in advance of the February 14 release of my first book, Great American Sitcoms of the 1950swhich you can pre-order here (or on Amazon here) if you haven’t already, I am sharing some vintage sitcom memorabilia — a set of Honeymooners-themed cocktail napkins that were put out in 1955. The package consists of 25 cartoon designs using the four main characters from this classic Jackie Gleason Show sketch that was just then becoming its own half-hour sitcom series (as discussed in my book).

I was fortunate enough to get a set that had at least one copy of all 25 cartoons, along with many random duplicates. So, as teased last week, the first 16 people to pre-order the book from me — thank you to everyone who did! — are getting an ORIGINAL Honeymooners cocktail napkin. But wait — I’ve got some more good news: I’ve decided to give away the rest! So, get your order in NOW if you’re interested. And if you miss out, well, don’t worry — I’ve got some other incentivizing sitcom bonuses that’ll still make buying from me worthwhile. More on that next week… In the meantime, here are the 25 designs — some are funnier and more character-based than others, but most of them are cute. My favorite is the one about Alice’s mother.

Come back next week for more fifties sitcom fun and note: if you’ve pre-ordered a book from me, your personalized copy will be shipped on Monday!
