The Garland Century

Welcome to a new Wildcard Wednesday! This week marks the 100th birthday anniversary of Judy Garland, who was born on June 10, 1922. In celebration of this seminal American icon, I’m offering for subscribers — who comment below to alert me of their private, non-commercial interest — access to good copies of all 26 episodes of the great performer’s single-season musical variety series, The Judy Garland Show (1963-1964, CBS), along with specials from 1955, 1956, 1962, 1963, and 1964 (the last with daughter Liza Minnelli).

Here’s a clip from the episode of her series that first aired on December 29, 1963, where Garland sings two of her staples — Noël Coward’s “If Love Were All” (from Bitter Sweet) and “Zing! Went The Strings Of My Heart” (from Thumbs Up!). Enjoy!

Come back next week for a new Wildcard! And stay tuned Tuesday for more sitcom fun!
