Welcome to another Wildcard Wednesday! Since a handful of our Wildcard posts are connected to birthdays or anniversaries, I got to thinking about all of the good entertainment — forgotten musical comedies and retro TV classics — that would have been available to us in any given week. Using March 4th as our anchor, I have researched what musical comedies were open that particular week 90 years ago in 1925, 80 years ago in 1935, and 70 years ago in 1945. (These are the three decades we cover most frequently on Musical Theatre Mondays.) Then I looked up what particular episodes would have aired this week 60 years ago in 1955, 50 years ago in 1965, and 40 years ago in 1975. So here’s a list of what I would have tried to see had I been around on March 4th of decades past.
