Welcome to a new Wildcard Wednesday! This week, I intended to run the 2025 edition of this blog’s annual holiday contest, but with only five full series covered throughout this year on Sitcom Tuesdays, and a clear hierarchy of which ones I consider better than others, I didn’t think I could concoct a clever guessing-game related to the material. So, instead, I will share a special treat with all of you next week, and in the meantime, here’s the sort of thing I would have been also revealing had I indeed run a contest — these are my seven favorite Sitcom Tuesday seasons that I’ve covered over the past year (in order of their appearance on this blog).

Additionally, I’ll also share that my favorite Christmas episode out of all the series covered this year would probably be “Ludachristmas,” an entry from 30 Rock’s second season that I singled out as an especially strong Honorable Mention but didn’t even put on my official list, due to the high quality of its particular season — the best collection from 2025’s best sitcom. More than any other Christmas outing that I actually did spotlight, it’s the one that I most recommend from this year’s survey. (However, Parks And Recreation’s “Ron And Diane” and The Big Bang Theory’s “The Bath Item Gift Hypothesis” would be runners-up!)
