THE HOLLYWOOD SQUARES: Where ’70s TV Stars Unite

Welcome to another Wildcard Wednesday! Over a year ago, I shared several clips from Match Game. As you may have guessed, I’m a connosuier of classic game shows, especially those that feature celebrities. From the ’70s, my two favorites are the aforementioned Match Game and The Hollywood Squares.

In today’s post, I’m pleased to present two vintage episodes of the series. The first aired in 1972 and features Dom DeLuise, Karen Valentine, Vincent Price, Suzanne Pleshette, Burt Reynolds, Carl Reiner, Wally Cox, Hope Lange, and Paul Lynde.

The second episode in today’s post aired in 1975 and features Ethel Merman, Rich Little, Eva Gabor, John Davidson, Rose Marie, Jan Murray, Karen Valentine, Vincent Price, and Paul Lynde.

Come back next Wednesday for another Wildcard post! And tune in tomorrow for more Xena!

  1. Thanks for posting these. HSq is a great memory from my childhood, and I was happy when GSN reran the original version, including a few NBC primetime episodes from 1968.
